As of Jan 1, 2005 Pearson Bus Sales authorized seventeen Toromont CAT locations to become Ontario's first BUS CARE CENTRES for all Blue Bird School and Commercial bus products.

Toromont locations will be available for full Blue Bird Warranty on body, engine (CAT) and chassis. With the help of 54 CAT Teps dealers this gives the C7 CAT engine a service network of over 70 Ontario locations. For details please call Pearson Bus Sales for all pre-warranty logistics.

For decades, Caterpillar has led the industry with engine innovations that provide powerful performance, fuel economy and overall value. Exclusive ACERT™ technology, extends the Caterpillar history of innovation and quality into today’s most inventive and effective emissions reduction system.

When tougher emissions regulations went into effect in 2002, other engine makers turned to a compromise: Cooled-EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) technology that recycles exhaust back through the engine in an attempt to reduce emissions. But Caterpillar engineers didn’t stop there. After intensive lab testing and millions of miles of real world, on the road proof, we discovered the answer: ACERT technology, an innovative “systems solution” that derives from proven CAT components and technology. It’s a “revolution through evolution” that not only meets today’s clean air regulations, but also establishes the building blocks for attaining tomorrow’s more stringent standards.

Improved air management, a basic building block of ACERT technology, is also the most visible of its four integrated systems. Caterpillar engines with ACERT technology employ series turbochargers to force more cool, clean air into the combustion chamber—not the recycled exhaust gas of cooled-EGR technology. And CAT engines with ACERT technology use proven turbo technology, not the complicated Variable Geometry Turbocharger components employed by some other engine manufacturers. Working together in series, the turbos turn slower, resulting in increased turbo component life. This turbocharger arrangement improves engine response while lowering oxides of nitrogen and increasing fuel economy.

The Caterpillar Pocket Tec has a plug-in dash adapter for communicating directly to the engine control whenever you need to perform diagnostics. Just plug it in, and you’re on your way to basic business management of your vehicle and fleet: - change over 54 engine parameters from the palm of your hand; - FREE software upgrades - no yearly diagnostic charges.
